People OUT there, who want to learn the position in volleyball, tdy mi (7-up) is doing a simple lesson on where you shld go if u playing what position and if u don understand, just post a tag, i will amend n do my best, if not pls appericate my work coz alot of hours have been used on shifting and editing although the coloring is very common la... Thank you
Picture 1:
This is the position where volleyball players are standing.
Red Line is the net while the white line is the 3 metres line.
Position 2, 3 and 4 are considered as front row attackers while 1, 6 and 5 are the back row attackers.
Picture 2 - Now people, u guys should know where is the position right. Now i should go into more advanced teaching.
R - Right Wing (Zhu Gong in Chinese)
C - Centre/Middle Attacker ( Chong Jian in Chinese)
S - Setter ( Er Chuan in Chinese)
SS - Sub Set (Jie Ying in Chinese)
The picture on the right shows where you should stand when starting to play volleyball.
Picture 3:
When the ball is served or when the ball is at opponent's court, the back row Sub Set must change position with the back row Right Wing.
This shows after changing position, where the assigned players are standing and this is how the players should stand if they want to change position.
People, Picture 4 is where you should stand everytime after you change your position.
Remainder - You can don't change position if your team mates agrees or states it so ASK your teammate if they want to change position at the back row to prevent confusion.
However, the position must go back to the original position like Picture 2 if the team scores or loses a
point, so people KEEP THAT IN MIND!
Picture 5:
Next is, after your team has score a point, it is the volleyball rule that everyone must rotate CLOCKWISE direction like picture 5.
Picture 6 -
After the rotation, the Subset has come to the front row while the Setter is going for a service.
After the service, all players must change into their position like what Picture 6 is showing.
The setter must come to the front row to set for the front row Attackers, the setter is allow to jump at the front row but if he tries to dip/dunk the ball into opponent's court, is considered as a foul.
Picture 8 -
Now, the team has lose a point and scores again, hence they rotated.
The formation now will look like picture 9.
Picture 9 -
After the Centre attacker done his/her service, all they players must change to their correct position like picture 10.
This is showing where the players must run to when they have the chance.
Picture 11 -
After changing, this is where the players stay until they score a point or lose a point
So people out there who is reading this, i hope you know what i am trying to tell you guys, just remember that if you must change position, your position should be like picture 4 or 11.
Remember to go back to your orginal position where you changed if your team scores or loses a point.
I am just doing this post for those people who lost touch on volleyball on where to stand. Formation like when opponent is attack and how you should stand, i am sorry but there are various formation so i am not able to draw it out ( because i am not a coach myself, just a player). Thanks for looking at this post.
A little credit goes to Chee Wai, who give mi opinion on how to make this post easier to understand for people out there. So long people~
