Hello all,

Last Sunday was a big step and a big mark for everyone, the NEW timing, NEW system.

This is to hope everyone could take note of these few issues to help us sail through the obstacle;

1) Litters - Last Sunday was a great improvement, lesser rubbish was spotted. Keep up the good work everyone, do not stop.

2) Smoking area - As mentioned, smokers if you like to smoke, smoke at a place where nobody can see you all. Thank you for your cooperation, no more smoking behind the fences. Mindful of where you throw your butts..

3) The charge has become $1 instead of $0.50. Now on, there will be a monthly birthday cake celebration and you will be looking forward for new balls.

4) Passion card membership [show CC some support]- We require of 10 person minimally to join Tiong Bahru CC as passion card holders. If you have passion card already, you need not sign at all.

The first 10 personnel who sign up, will subsidize $2 off from our funds, which is only $10.
[Please do not worry, you need not pay $10 at a shot. You will be paying through the $1 fund. We will take note of your attendance.]

Currently, we have

1) Fion
2) Guni
3) Charles
4) Zackiel
5) Chee Hao
6) Jia Hui
7) Qili

A few words from me (Personal though):

I am really very happy that everyone is coming together to help this interest group by your means to get over this obstacle. I really can see each and every one of you de effort i.e. Alvin willing to sacrifice his time to coach, YaYa taking time to make birthday list, Ray trying his best to take shots like mad, Alan using his own time to purchase squeezer, ask his friends to help us out and cleaning stores, Chee Hao offering help and advises quietly and helping in the dark, Jason who offers advice and wanting to save the place and secure the place and Charles, for always advising and take up the initiative to think of plans to help, Zhi ping who donates his volleyball and medical kit and giving feedbacks, Xuan guan who is willing to help even though he might feel uncomfortable.

I must seriously say, THANK YOU, please tolerate and endure these through with me. Yes, there will be disagreement, there will be unpleasant experience, there will be heated arguments but I feel that if we are open-minded rather than narrow-minded and understanding to every matter, everything will be alright.

Everyone is learning, learning to do what is right and when a choice or decision is made by that person, he/she tries his/her best to make the correct choice available to them at that point of time. [That's what I believe]

The spirit for Nakama should never falter or disappear...the spirit of teamwork and laughter together, the spirit of supporting each other in need or in darkness and never give up hope in each other even in time of crisis...That's the spirit of Nakama.

service test

Hello ~~~,

This might be too late to post but I hope everyone who are attending tomorrow's Alvin training, do take note.

The training will be on SERVICE and once everyone has passed his service expectations, he will proceed to teach RECIEVING...and Alvin will personally treat those who passed his service 'mini-test' for a plate of dessert.

Hence, I like everyone to take note of the timing again for the training will start at 4pm. Sorry that I am not able to inform you all earlier.

*Please do not be late, we will start at 4pm sharp!

another coment

I like to share with everyone about previous Sunday

Lets take what happened on previous Sunday as a wake up call for everyone. A reminder to us all that our weekly ritual of gathering to play volleyball is that which ties us all together, and that it is bigger then any single one of us. A gentle nudge to all of us that we should all be working together for the greater whole, rather then for the fulfillment of one's self.

*Alot of changes will have to implement for the good and the sake of the interest group, please give me your utmost support. Thank you...

touched my heart

I took from someone (Unknown) Been at Tiong Bahru CC volleyball for 8years.

This is not just a place for people to play volleyball, it is a place where friendships are made, brotherhood are forged, reunion of long lost friends. A place for people to pick up a sport that they never thought they would ever be playing and to many of the working adults, this is also a place whereby they can engaged in a healthy activity with friends to refreshed themselves before heading back to work for the new week. Last but not least, a place for everyone to express their love for the sport regardless of
background.

It is not about the amount of time we spend playing week in week out anymore, it is about the people whom we spend our time with playing week in week out at Tiong Bahru Community Center, where for the majority of us, we call it home to our volleyball activities.

**To all, these are somethings that I like at the end of day you guys feel, give me some time to set the pace right for everyone. Thanks.

Hi all,

As a new year has begins, our new system also has started.
Training class started off abit late as some of the personnels are late. However, I like to thank those for coming down early i.e. Fion etc. Although there were 3 of them to start off the training class, it was a fruitful session (i suppose).

After that, beginners and girls were having games with some of the seniors inside. For this part, it seems abit disorganized as rules and regulations and objectives were not laid down properly.

**Some comments:
I will try to improve on this system as it is pretty new and restructure is always required. Hence, I will need and require everyone's patience and feedback to improve and give everyone a fair amount of play.

To those girls, I have to apologize as I noticed, you all did not have your fair share amount of game play like the guys do. As my objective of having girls and beginners together is to have more rallies rather than just some power spikes and ending the game.

To those seniors out there, it would be helpful that you all could guide those beginners on how their techniques are and correct them etc. =)

To those beginners or trainees, please bear in mind that 1630 -1730 is a slot for you all to train and the training class is conducted by voluntary trainers. Hence, it would be nice that you all treat it seriously i.e. your behavior, respect and punctuality. I knew it is hard to make it on time as everyone has their own commitments if that happened, please inform the trainer or other committee members if possible. (Try not to be last-minute notice, Thank you)

If not, I hope everyone has their fair share of fun in the near future and more videos will be up soon. I hope the video is fun and enjoyable for viewing. Please tag or post any fun comments on the video. (Please take note of Fion Dancing at the start of the video...)
